With the Inter Library Loan you can borrow documents belonging to Italian and international libraries. All requests will be answered within 3 working days.
Requests to other libraries (incoming loan)
You can request up to 3 books in Inter Library Loan. You will be informed in advance of the arrival of the requested documents, which will remain available for 5 working days, after which the book will be returned to the lending library. Loans’ duration and fee will be at the discretion of the lending library and will be communicated together with the lending library’s response. Users agree to respect the provided rules and are personally responsible for any loss or damage.
Requests from other libraries (outgoing loan)
Other libraries can request our books for Inter Library Loan. The service costs € 8, to be payed in stamps or IFLA vouchers, that must be included in the books’ returning package. The requesting library will be responsible for the document and, in case of loss or damage, will be required to repurchase it.

To access the Interlibrary Loan service you must be registered and show the Bologna Libraries’ Institution User Card or a valid ID.
